Teachers Day is always special for all students as they take the opportunity to thank their beloved guides for all the service rendered to them the entire year through. With the theme, ‘We are here because YOU are there’, the Sisters along with the students made 5th September special our beloved staff members.
We began with the Holy Eucharist, to implore God’s blessings on our teachers. After a treat of snacks, the teachers were led to the hall for a cultural programme comprising of skit, dance, and song.
The members of the Rotary Club too took the opportunity to felicitate five senior most teachers for their dedicated service not only to the institution but to the society at large.
We then had a game of housie with interesting prizes and many other spot prizes. This was followed by an agape meal, and the distribution of gifts by the Manager, Sr. Caroline D’Souza.
On behalf of the community Sr. Caroline thanked all the teachers for their commitment and love towards the children. In the afternoon, the NIOS students put up a short yet meaningful programme for their teachers. On the 4th the students of the study class thanked their teachers for spending the afternoons with them guiding and assisting them.
