The 1st of November was truly a hallowed day! We, the S.H.T.C community, celebrated the feast of All Saints with great fervor. During the Morning Prayer, we reflected on the lives of saints and how we could strive towards becoming like them. In the evening, we were honoured by the visit of seven saints from heaven. We were glad to meet them and to know more about their life. We had never met any of them before. We had heard about two or three of them. They were St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, St. John de Britto, St. Joseph of Cupertino, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Bernadette of Soubirous, St. Eulalia of Merida and St. Notburga. They shared with us their stories of valour, of profound love of God, of love for the poor and their zeal to preach the gospel either through their words or through their very lives. We too, hope to be counted in their number! To rack our brains a bit we had a quiz on the saint. Our scores at the end of the quiz made us eligible for beatification!
It was indeed a Blessed Day.
