Diwali festival is well known as the festival of Lights. Which bring a lot of beliefs and culture to celebrate it.

This festival brings along a lot of blessings happiness and prosperity. It indicates the victory of God over evil power. On 3rd Nov.2018 the GDA students all dressed up in Traditional Sari, with Lots of Joy and Smiling faces entered the campus of Auxilium Youth Animation Center Dahanu to celebrate Diwali.

The Indian oil lamp well lit was a symbol of Christ presence and the Light of God filled the air with joy and warmth.Rev.Sr.Mariet and Sisters along with GDA Students and Staff exchanged the diya to one another encouraging each other to Light the way with our good deed and better Living.

The Students and Staff celebrated Diwali with Song, Dance, & Lots of Fun. Around 11.30 am all of us travelled by a Tempo to Hadal Pada to celebrate Diwali with the most needy.

The people of Hadalpada & Juuarmapa were very happy to welcome us.

Mrs.Santoshi madam prepared children with a Welcome Song. Sr.Mangal spoke on being a Light to each other & encouraged us saying dear friends let us be a light that lights up the way for the other.

The GDA students through the “Fund Raising” had a goal to reach, especially, To provide educational material to the students of Std. 1st to 8th. Health and hygiene with proper nutrition to the people of these four padas.

Each child received a bag filled with notebooks, ruler, eraser, pen pencil, hair oil, soap, colgate, towel, biscuits, and a dress. The children were so happy and enjoyed the fun and dance with GDA students.

A sense of educational awareness, personal health & hygiene, and good habits were demonstrated by GDA students. It was amazing to see the response of Pada people children and their teachers.

Miss. Meena thanked everyone present. Sr. Mangal appreciated the efforts of GDA students & the support of AYAC community sisters. This was the best Diwali celebration, where so many faces were lighted up. With joy & new enthusiasm we closed for Diwali vacation.
