The long-awaited day dawned with the bubbling joy of our children on Nov. 25, 2018. The Auxilium Girls Promotion Center celebrated it at Pokhran, Zilla Parishad School No. 1. Children were anxiously waiting for this day. They were welcomed by the sisters and volunteers with the theme “Children of today Our Keepers Tomorrow.” The celebration was planned for the whole day. The event began with a short prayer service, seeking God’s blessings on each and every one.
The Chief Guest for the Children’s day function was Mr. Anantraj Patkar (youth leader) and he was welcomed by the children in the traditional way. In his speech, he emphasized, “The children should be grateful to their parents and family members because they are their greatest support in life.” He also shared certain experiences of his life, about how he learned good values in life. During the celebration, Mr. Shamsundar Sawant (teacher) was felicitated on behalf of Auxillium Girls Promotion Center for getting the best teacher’s award at the state level. Sr. Rashmika Macwan presented a bouquet of flowers and a gift. Mr. Sawant in his address encouraged the children “To excel in life through hard work.”
Sr. Vandana Malya in her session presented five important values for life. She emphasized the importance of their contribution in their family, society in which they live and to the nation at large. During the cultural programme, the children presented some of their behavior patterns in the family in various ways. Each group gave a message for the whole gathering in a unique way. All the four groups were appreciated with gifts for their performance.
The school premises were made available by the school management. The food items and the gifts for all the children were sponsored by Mr. Patkar. The SHG women joined their hands together to cook a delicious meal for the children. The snacks were sponsored by Sahayini Social Development center. The overall program was managed by Auxilium Girls Promotion Center. The day ended with the vote of thanks; thanking various people for their help. The organizers very specially thanked all those who contributed towards this event in various ways and made the day a success.
