With the theme I AM THE SCULPTOR OF MY OWN LIFE on 6th January 2019, we celebrated the Bal Mela Day -a day which was awaited by the children of Sindoni. Around 450 students from Std III to X along with a few parishioners were present for the programme. The children took part in the Holy Eucharist at 8.15 am. The Bal Mela function began with a short prayer and the lighting of the lamp was done by the Parish Priest Fr. Raymond Monteiro, Sr. Moksha Anthonappa, Sr. Justina Rodrigues and other guests.
Then it was followed by a prayer dance. Sr. Justina Rodrigues welcomed the gathering for this Bal Mela. The cultural programme was put up by different villages. Mrs. Prajakta a social worker from Sahayini delivered a speech on her own life based on the theme. She stressed on the following “Remember you are the future of the society and of our country”. Sr. Moksha too imparted valuable information to those present. The children were delighted and excited to take part in the programme. To add to the fun there was a spot prize which made children more active and alive. Breakfast, lunch, ice-cream, vada pav was served for children. The children were happy to receive gifts and snacks. The music for the day played which kept the children dancing to the beat.
