AMAR # 686 Provincial Visit at Auxilium Lonavla

The annual visit of Provincial, Sr. Rita Dora on 11th January 2019 got off to a colourful and musical start. Sr. Rita Dora, Provincial, accompanied by Sr. Superior, Sr. Josephine Fernandes were escorted by teachers and students lined up with multicoloured flags to symbolise the colourful and joy that the provincial’s visit brings to the school. After Sr. Rita Dora entered the hall to loud cheers from everyone, she was welcomed and greeted with gifts and saplings. An inter-faith prayer with readings from various religious sources took place. This was followed by a prayer dance in India style.

The students sang a cheerful welcome song that brought a smile to Sr. Rita Dora’s face.  A Koli and Thakar dance performed by primary section students set the stage on fire with the rich culture and tradition of Maharashtra.

The little ones of kindergarten stolen everyone’s hearts with an action song based on nature. The School has many activities both academic and co-curricular. The Headmistress, Sr. Sheela Furtado then presented the school report being the provincial, Sr. Rita Dora, about the year’s activities and achievements. Tr. Margaret presented a PPT presentation, as our students are actively engaged in all USM programmes at Indore, USM centre and in the school. The Green line annual report was then presented by Trs. Asma and Unita. A PPT presentation highlighted all the green activities undertaken at various levels by the school’s green army.

Sr. Rita Dora then addressed the school. She appreciated the efforts and achievements of the students. Sr. Rita Dora invited the audience to live out all that is received in school. We as a school thank and appreciate. St. Rita Dora for her presence and message we are grateful for all her support, love and guidance.
