It was a joy and delight to celebrate the feast of St. Bosco in a solemn way with our parishioners at Auxilium Youth Animation Centre, Dahanu on January 31, 2019. Our celebration began with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Rev Fr. Johnny Nigrel, our parish priest. The theme of the day was our Saint’s motto: Give me souls, take away the rest. The introduction to the Mass given by Sr. Mangal Kolge enabled people to reflect on his origins and on his ministry with the young. The post-communion reflection fervently read by Sr. Shaila Jadhav brought the heavens down in a rupture of silence and oneness with Jesus and with the founder as we all devoutly listened to the song in Hindi: Mujhe Teri Atmadedo…” The readings for the Holy Mass proclaimed by the youngsters and Sr. Veronica took us to reflect on being rejoicing people. Our little boys at the altar presented an angelic look throughout the liturgy. The choir led by Sr. Santana Pereira gave the people an opportunity to feel at home and have a heart to heart communion with the Divine.
Sr. Mariet Luckose welcomed the gathering leading them to the refectory already laid ready to munch good homemade, nutritional snacks. We are grateful to the forty-five of our sisters and brothers who partook of the celebration with us in our centre and we look forward to greater participation in the forthcoming events to be held herein. We thank our parish priest who took an active and vibrant part in inviting the faithful to this joyful happening.
