The portals of Ahmednagar gladly welcomed our Rev. Mother Provincial, Sr. Rita Dora Thomas along with Sr. Supriya Noronha, her secretary and Sr. Catherine Fernandes. Sr. Rita Dora visited our community of Laura Vicuna Niwas on her Provincial visit on the beautiful feast of our teenage saint, Blessed Laura Vicuna. She was welcomed with a traditional aarati by the sisters and the students of the community college.
The feast was kept up in the school with great fervour and enthusiasm. The theme of the day was “Holiness for you too”. The message that ran through the skit, songs, dances and prayer service was loud and clear that if Laura could achieve holiness through her simple deeds done with love, then we too can do the same, for nothing is impossible if we try. After the programme, a drawing competition was held in honour of the feast and children came up with creative and exquisite drawings.
