On 22 January 2019, Mrs. Sangita Patole and Mrs. Pushpa Sagalgile of the Salesian Co-operators unit of Laura Vicuna Niwas, committed themselves by taking the Promise at Don Bosco – Savedi, Ahmednagar. The past two years they were lovingly accompanied by the local Delegate Sr. Collette Gonsalves. The solemn and significant con-celebrated Eucharist was presided over by the parish priest, Fr. Vishwas Pereira, who spoke impressively of Don Bosco’s love for the youth, and who was assisted in his mission by the Salesian Co-operators. Present at this momentous occasion was our Provincial Sr. Ritha Dora Thomas, the Sisters of the Community, many Salesian Co-operators including the Formation in-charge of Mumbai Province Prof. Franklin Coutinho, Province Delegate of the Salesian Co-operators Sr. Catherine Fernandes, relatives, friends, and youth.
Back home, the young girls of the Community College while celebrating the feast of Blessed Laura Vicuna with a short skit on the life of their Patron, with song and dance welcomed our dear Provincial and also felicitated the two new members. Sangita and Pushpa expressed their gratitude and immense joy of belonging to the Salesian Family by hosting a delectable dinner for all.
