On 4th March 2019, we at Maria Niwas, Kalathur celebrated the Community Gratitude Day on the theme “Offering our prayers to the Lord.” We had a week-long preparation of the community day praying for different people who render their generous service to our community. On the eve of the Gratitude Day, we had a vigil service thanking the animator, the Sisters, the children and workers for the precious presence and the generous service to the community. We had a meaningful Eucharistic celebration in the Community.
After the delicious breakfast, the children had a wonderful time playing various games in different groups. And the evening we had a sumptuous meal with the children and helpers. After supper, our children had put up an entertainment programme with dances, skits, and songs. During the ‘Goodnight’ the animator thanked the Sisters, children and everyone present for their contribution in community building. It was a day of joy, fun and love.
