All over the world in all the FMA communities the feast of ‘Main’ is celebrated with much affection and joy. It was no different when it came to us at Auxilium, Caranzalem. We too celebrated the feast fondly remembering our Mother and Co-foundress, St. Mary Mazzarello with our students on 13th July 2019.
We began with a prayer service to honour her feast and for all the students to participate. The green and yellow house were in charge of this programme. They highlighted the holiness and virtues of St. Mary Mazzarello. This was followed by a short play integrated with songs on the life of St. Mary Mazzarello. The students have then distributed some refreshments and they were sent home except the catholic students who stayed for the Eucharistic celebration. The main celebrant was Rev. Fr. Ralin D’Souza SDBwho spoke on the holiness of our saintly mother and how we should imply it in our context today. The Mass was followed by lunch for all staff members of our school, co-operators, religious of other congregations and our helpers. The primary section celebrated the feast on 15th with short skit and songs on her life.
We concluded the feast with much gratitude in our hearts and thanksgiving for the gift of our dear Mother Mazzarello to us. May she continue to bless all of us from heaven with peace, joy, and holiness.
