We the Sisters and girls at Koparkhairane were excited and enthusiastic to celebrate the feast of our Co-Foundress St.Mary Mazzarello. Celebrations began from 6th July onwards.
On 6th July 2019, the outreach centres of Wadala, C.G.S and Kane Nagar, Boiwada and Siwri gathered together at MYC Wadala to celebrate and honour the pride of our Institute –St. Mary Mazzarello. Sr.Joanna Lobo along with two Anmol girls attended the celebration. The theme of the program was based on “Education” The programme consisted of skit and songs. The children present were willing and thrilled to listen to the life of Mary Mazzarello which was narrated to them by Sr.Joanna in a very creative manner. Children went home with snacks, books, and stationery articles.
At the dawn of 13th July 2019, we began the feast day with a solemn prayer service animated by Sr. Sunita Shah which led us into the mood of celebration. In the evening the priests and Sisters from the neighbouring religious communities joined us in celebrating the feast. Fr. Jaysleen, Provincial of MSFS was present for the feast. Sr. Joanna Lobo welcomed the gathering with her inspiring welcoming speech. The girls at Anmol entertained them with their short skit depicting the entire life of our beloved St.Mary Mazzarello. Bible housie was another highlight of the day.
After the fellowship meal all of those gathered went home carrying along with the memories of a beautiful time spent together and for us at Anmol, it was indeed a great day living and loving the teachings of Mother Mazzarello – Woman for all times.
