On the 17th of July, we the Pushpanjali community Sisters along with boarders began the Marian month by bringing Our Lady in procession to the boarding and had a short prayer. After the prayer Sr. Hilda Braganza, the animator gave the message on Mother Mary based on the theme. The theme for our Marian month was “Mary leads us to Holiness”. During the month we animated the Rosary with meaningfully and creatively. The Sisters and children shared our own experiences of Mary through ‘Goodnight’ thoughts. We also conducted many Marian activities with the children to show our love to our Blessed Mother. Writing letters to Mother Mary, group and individual singing competitions, drawing, grotto making, enactment of the apparitions of Mary, quiz, group-wise decoration, etc. All these activities helped the children to know more about her and to show their love for her. All of them collaborated enthusiastically in every activity which was held during the month.
On 14th August was a great and joyous day for each one of us including our children as we gather to conclude our Marian month by animating Marian night with programme. There was a meaningful prayer moment which was guided by the children. After the prayer Sr. Urvashi Macwan and Sr. Maxina Luji conducted different games on Our Lady for the children to increase their knowledge about Mary. Later we had the prize distribution. Sr. Hilda congratulated the winners by giving them gifts thereafter she gave them the short message telling that we need to continue to thank Mary because she is our mother and guide who leads us to holiness. With the same feelings of joy and gratitude in our hearts, we ended our Marian Nite.
