On 27th August, the Maria Kripa Girls Centre, Madanthyar had the Singing Competition for the Marian Month to honour Our Blessed Mother. They began with the hymn honouring Our Lady and asked the blessing from her.
The girls were given different themes on the mysteries of joy: Annunciation, Visitations, Birth of Jesus and the Wedding Feast of Cana. Two external judges were invited to judge the competition. The whole programme was well organized and conducted with much creativity and enthusiasm. The beauty of it all was the girls themselves composed the songs and sung melodiously. The judges appreciated their efforts and congratulated them for their originality.
