Today with immense joy in our hearts we celebrated 73rd Independence Day of our country. We remembered all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our country. Auxilium Welfare Centre celebrated this day with students of Professional and Nursery schools along with their parents. We invited Fr. Briston Britto SDB as the Guest of Honour. We began our programme at 9 a.m. by hoisting the flag, which was followed by the cultural programme. The students delivered speeches on our MotherLand India, as to how we should respect our country and live as good citizens of our nation. The Chief Guest Fr. Briston spoke about the Constitution of our Country and he emphasized on how to be responsible citizens of our country. With the vote of thanks, we concluded the programme by distributing sweets to the assembly.
After the celebration at our Centre, Sr. Gracy Thomas, the animator, and Sr. Asha D’Monty and were invited to the nearby villages to hoist the flag and were welcomed with a bouquet. It was nice to see our kids and youngsters together with their families giving honour to our Motherland. Indeed it was a great privilege for us to join the people on this great and auspicious day to hoist the flag. Jai Hind!
