On the evening of 20th September, 2019 Auxilium Vikas Kendra Khedpa Sindoni organized an awareness programme for the women in Jaminveri village.
Around 50 women participated in this programme and indeed it brought awareness among the women. We began with the prayer moment which was guided by Sr. Pricilla Bhanga and it was followed by a welcome song was sung by Jaminveri village girls. An informative talk was given by Sr. Catherine Pereira, the animator of the community about women’s rights and their status in society. She explained to them the various programmes which will be initiated in our centre. The postulants who are among us for the mission experience performed 3 street plays highlighting the current affairs of the village like Peace, Education for the girls and suicide cases. The postulants also organized 2 games for the women; where they actively participated. Slates were distributed to them so that they can learn the basics of reading and writing. Sr. Catherine in her concluding message said that “There is no age limit for learning.”
Indeed, it was a successful programme which brought awareness in their lives and the hope to do something in life.
