Celebrations at Auxilium, Wadala

???????????????????????????????

(Sr.Nilima Rodriques) The grand feast of our beloved Blessed Laura Vicuna as well as the Catechetical day was celebrated in an elegant way from 15th Jan to 22nd January with the involvement of students and teachers of all the classes of Axuilium, Wadala. Each day the assembly was conducted by the students, class-wise with much creativity. The prayer moment made us to converse with God to desire for holiness. The beautiful and meaningful posters were a good reminder throughout the day to strive for holiness.

On the feast day the celebration began, invoking the presence of God through a short prayer service. The remarkable part of the celebration was the enactment of family life based on the theme, “Bloom in God’s Home”

Girls with beautiful costumes sang and danced praising Laura as well as presented family values. The special occasion came to an end with the message given by our Manager Rev. Sr. Agatha Dias, wherein she emphasized to live the virtues of our teen Laura and follow her foot prints to have pure and happy life and find God in loving others.

The Eucharistic Celebration presided by Rev.Fr.Allywn Misquitta SDB crowned the occasion in the Parish of Our Lady of Dolours. The choir sang melodiously. The meaningful liturgy highlighted the life of Laura. The celebrant made the Eucharist a meaningful celebration with inspiring thoughts and praying in a special way for the Salesian Sisters.

Celebrating the Feast of Don Bosco

Auxilium Wadala had a festal tone as the students together with teachers and sisters celebrated the feast of our Father and Founder Don Bosco.   31st Jan 2014 was full of celebrations of all kinds. At the community level, the morning prayer had a festive note all by itself, and the Eucharistic celebration were moments which helped us to thank God for the gift of Don Bosco.

???????????????????????????????At the school level for the assembly we began with a prayer moment followed by a group dance on Peace. Sr. Agatha the Animator in her short talk recalled the words of the Saint, “Jump, Sing, Play but don’t sin”.

A chart competition was then organized for the children class wise wherein they had to depict the message which was available in their school magazine:  “Qualities found in a Home”.

The noon saw the teachers vying with one another in preparing their charts staffroom wise with the theme:  My staffroom home for me and others. The charts were then ???????????????????????????????displayed on the notice boards for the edification and admiration of all.

Prizes were distributed for the winners who won in the game as well as in the group presentation. All were happy to get a key chain in memory of this day.

Thus the whole day was a day of reflection, a day of enlightenment and on the whole an enjoyable day.

Thanks be to God for the gift of Don Bosco , the father and founder of our Congregation.

Together we build a home???????????????????????????????

“If you look back upon our life, we will find that moments we stand out are the ones when we have shared with others” keeping the Salesian healthy tradition of Thanksgiving Day. The Sisters, workers and our needy study class children celebrated the day of Gratitude on 25th Jan.

  1. How wonderful! I am happy to read about the celebration of Catechetical day, Laura Vicuna’s feast and Don Bosco’s feast at Auxilium-Wadala. What bright ideas to get all the students and staff involved in honouring our Salesian Saints. May they always cherish these memories long after they leave the portals of Auxilium.
