Workers’ Day Celebration

Auxilium Pali Bandra 2

Auxilium, Pali

(Sr. Rita Macwan) Each day in a year celebrates its uniqueness and beauty in its own way.  Auxilium Pali  on 17th Jan celebrated a special day – the Workers’ Day.  This celebration was to honour  our helpers – our extended hands who reach out and help us in various ways.  It was awesome to see students giving right reverence and honour to the workers as they appreciated them for their dedicated services.  They animated the prayers in Marathi- that could be more understandable to them, followed by a stage performance.  A short cultural programme was  prepared to highlight the value of gratitude.  To add to this the students of the Std. 9th took upon themselves the responsibility to clean the classrooms. So the workers could be free and relaxed.  At the end they too expressed their gratitude.  It was indeed an eye-opener for the students that it is important to value everyone’s contribution in making this world a better place.

  1. Dear Sisters, staff and students…you truly made the workers feel great and honoured that day! This act also highlights the dignity of labour which we need to teach all our students.
    Keep it up!
