17 April, 2017 saw a group of 35 children from the surroundings came in to spend time learning and having fun, the programme was called ‘Hasath Khelath Shikuya’. Let us laugh, play and learn.
Sr. Catherine Pereira, the animator spoke a few words on the first day telling them how this is a beautiful moment to learn. Sr. Joanna Lobo planned and animated the week long programme. They were divided in groups and spent hours of learning art, craft, playing games, making flowers, collages, building their team spirit and also viewing some meaningful videos.
She slowly prepared the older children to handle the smaller ones in groups thus initiating leadership and confidence. They went back home enthusiastic, having learnt something new.
They said the entire process was one of learning, making friends, having fun, and building confidence.
The last day had a tinge of sadness as the days of fun and learning were over; they received their prizes and went back grateful and enriched.
