On 23rd July, a group of Salesian Co-operators from Laura Vicuna Niwas, Savedi Unit – Ahmednagar, made their way to the Shirur mentally challenged girls Centre. The children were overjoyed to see us. Sr. Domini, in-charge of the Center gave us important information regarding it and took us around the well maintained place. The Sisters take lot of interest in the children’s integral development with personal attention to each child. The children then performed some action songs and the Co-operators conducted few lively games. We were shown some of the hand-made articles done by the girls.
As a gesture of their affection and support, many of the Co-operators purchased the displayed items. The Co-operators then served food for all the inmates.
We returned home imploring God’s blessings on those children and those who take care of them.
