Navratri is celebrated all over India with zeal and enthusiasm. As this festival brings everyone together, we the Past Pupils Unit of Lonavla organised a Family Dandiya Dhoom keeping in mind the year of the Family. All the students of Auxilium along with their families were invited to be a part of the Auxilium Family Dandiya Dhoom.
This event was organised under the guidance of our Past Pupil delegate, Sr. Sheela Furtado. The campus was lit with lights all over, the music made them all dance on their feet. In canteen the items sold were prepared by the poor families of our school students, thus making it a source of income for them.
The programme began at 6.00 pm with the lighting of the lamp by our chief guest Mrs. Manjushree Wagh, the President and a social worker of Ranragini group and the guest of honour Sr. Sheela Furtado our delegate, Superior Sr. Josephine Fernandes, Dr. Vaishali Chitamnai president of women organisation, Mr. Jetu Kalyanji our past pupil and well wisher, Tr. Rebecca and Tr. Shanta our senior most past pupil teachers.
There were competitions held for best dancers and best costumes of every category right from the K.G section to the 10th Std. Open rounds, couple rounds, family rounds were organised. The winners received prizes for the same. This event was a remarkable one because of our sponsors and well wishers.
Lucky draw too was organised for every class. Students and families returned home with memories to cherish forever.
