PREPARATION FOR CELEBRATING HOSTEL DAY

(Sr. Margaret Misquita) 21^st  March 2014 is the day that all our hostélites at St. Joseph Engineering college, Vamanjoor are looking forward to, being their  Hostel day, while they have been enjoying the preparation for the same for the past two weeks.  The 4^th Year B.E. students are the organizers of the preparation as well as the celebration of the Hostel day.

Events – Indoor and outdoor, in preparation for this day have brought all our youngsters in the Hall and on the playground.  Every event, whether indoor or outdoor was a competition between the 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th Year B.E and the Post-graduates (MCA,MBA,M.Tech).  Real fun, excitement and cheering was resounding in the hostel as well as on the campus grounds from 1^st March – 15^th March 2014 as each group was trying its best to be the winners. And can you guess the type of events?  Not the usual throw-ball, volleyball that college students play, but instead they had events such as : Seven tiles, dog and the bone, antakshari, Quiz, Treasure hunt  and tug-of-war – games to remind them of their younger days.  Sr. Margaret Misquitta inaugurated the events on 1^st March on the grounds.  Now we all await for 21^st March – the Great Day in their life – their own hostel day.
