We were 14 of us at this annual meet including local delegates of the Salesian Co-operators, Past Pupils and ADMA, hosted by Auxilium Pali Hill, on 13th August. After the prayer moment invoking the ‘Fire of the Holy Spirit’, our Provincial Sr. Ritha Dora spoke to us particularly on the Identity of the Salesian Family and directed our attention to issues which are imperative as per our charism: bonding and sharing resources among the different groups of the Salesian Family, family ministry, ecology and migrants, with Jesus as our goal.
We viewed a report and a ppt of the multifarious activities carried out in the different units of the Salesian Family in our province and the challenges we face. This was followed by a discussion on carrying out the action plan with an emphasis on a joint out-reach project, inter-sector networking, reaching out to the youth and families especially of migrants, and linkage with neighbouring members of the Salesian Family, so as to provide fresh vitality to the ‘One Family One Mission’ of Don Bosco.
