Sessions for the students of Aux- Wadala!

‘Bloom and grow’ session for the students of Std. IX was animated by Sr.Lavita Sequeira FMA on the 12th of August, 2017. The theme was Self Esteem. She enlighten the pupils about the importance of Self Esteem in our day to day life.
The session commenced with a meaningful prayer moment. A video and a few inspiring stories about great personalities such as Helen Keller, Thomas Alva Edison, Harriet Tubman, Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Abraham Lincoln were discussed.
10 tips for raising our self esteem were also spoken of . It is said that Self -Acceptance equates to Self Improvement. A video was thus shown to us stating that Self Esteem too equates to the Inner Beauty. Later an interesting game was played where in they wrote the positive point about the other thus enhancing the individual’s self esteem.

“Light a candle, instead of cursing the darkness”. On 21st July 2017, an input session on the awareness for children was organized in Auxilium Wadala for students of class 8th and 10th. The resource person was Mrs Philomena   from the Archdiocese of Bombay, Family Commission Cell. She interacted with the students through the power point presentation, through video clipping and brought to them the reality of today `s life situation.  The violence is the governing action for this age. This is seen in all spheres of life, be it in work, games, entertainment and normal humdrum of life. Life is sacred and precious .Each one of us must strive to promote life through gentleness, goodness and being messengers of peace. Through her interaction with the children she brought home the message of self defense and protection. The  students expressed their thanks and appreciation with a vote of thanks for the enriching session  which in turn will help and mould their future with hope, goodness and an abundance of  joy.
