AMAR # 1130 Republic Day celebration in Maria Vihar!

“Constitution is not mere lawyer’s document, it is a vehicle of life and its spirit is always the spirit of Age”

For every nation, the day on which it became independent and the day when it’s Constitution comes into effect, is of utmost importance. For India, which is one of the largest democratic countries in the world, January 26 is a day to remember and celebrate with great enthusiasm as this year it marks the 71st Indian Republic Day. It was on this day in 1950 that the esteemed constitution came into effect and India was declared an independent republic country. Here at Maria Vihar Youth Centre this day was celebrated with much joy remembering our leaders for giving a Constitution which gives the citizens the power to build democracy.

Mrs. Pranitha Gujarati, a well-known doctor of Nashik hoisted the flag. There was the reading of the preamble and short programme consisting of speeches and dances. Dr. Gujarati also motivated girls to practice what is in the Constitution so that we may have a secular country.
