Auxilium Vikas Kendra Khedpa organized Bal Mela for the 800 children of our locality. It was an auspicious day for all of us to see so many children on the campus. The day began with a short prayer by lighting a lamp and a prayer dance. Sr. Catherine Pereira, the animator of the house welcomed the children and the invited guests. Mr. Bhiva Surab, the Principal of Mandoni School was the Chief Guest. Fr. Constantino Rebello and Fr. Ramesh Mahale Sr. Moksha Antonappa, Sr. Manisha Parmar were the guests of honour. We also honoured guests and volunteers who came from Bombay. The Chief Guest spoke to the children about how they can build a community with their small gestures of charity towards others and how he came up in life. This was followed by the cultural programme which was performed by the children of the tuition classes.
After the delicious lunch, the volunteers divided children into the groups to play various games on the theme “It’s I, who build community’ to make them understand how they can be together as a group in order to build a society. At the end of the day, prizes were distributed to all.
We thank our local benefactors Mr. Nayan Patel, Mr. Anil Tokare Mr. Raghu Devle, Mr.Gulab Wangad, Mr. Basir Tumbda. May God bless their generosity. We are also grateful to Sr. Moksha Antonappa and the volunteers who organized the games and provided the prizes for the children. We also thank our Co-coordinators, Tuition Teachers and youth for preparing children for the cultural programme and helping us to make this day a successful one.
