8th February 2020 was a grace-filled afternoon to our community at the arrival of Provincial Sr. Rita Dora Thomas, Vice Provincial Sr. Magdeline Sequeira, Provincial Bursar, Sr. Rita D’Souza and the representative of the NGO ‘Homes of Hope’, Miss Daniella.
At 2:30 pm with the short prayer moment, we began the blessing of the first floor. The first floor was inaugurated by Miss Daniella and was blessed by Fr. Angelino Vaz (mission Superior of Daman) in the presence of Provincial, Vice Provincial, Provincial Bursar and the Parish priest Fr. Constantino Rebello. The tuition teachers and coordinators welcomed them with the traditional dance ‘Tarpa’. The tailoring students performed a prayer dance. The welcome song was sung by the boarding girls. Miss Daniela was facilitated by the Provincial with a shawl, a garland, and a bouquet of local flowers. After this followed the cultural programme performed by boarding girls, the students of the youth clubs, and the tuition class students.
The programme ended with the message of Provincial where Sr. Rita Dora exhorted the students to grow and succeed with the help of sisters and benefactors. Snacks were served to all.
