AMAR # 1396 Past Pupils Enrollment Meet at Auxilium Baroda

“The past beats inside me like a second heart.” John Banville.

The Past Pupils have always been the extended hands of Auxilium in society. On the 9th and 10th of July, 2021, the Principal Sr. Philomena Lobo along with the respective class teachers of Auxilium Baroda arranged the ‘Past Pupils Enrollment Meet’ cum “Thanksgiving Day’ for the students of X and XII – 2020-21 batch of both English and Gujarati mediums respectively.

In keeping with the protocols, due to the pandemic, the meet took place online. During the service Sr. Philomena Lobo, the Principal, expressed the student’s desire to Superior Sr. Priscilla Travasso and she in turn briefed the students on the origin and role of Past Pupils.

She explained that the Association aimed  at strengthening the ties between the school and  the ex-students, helping them keep in touch with each other and creating opportunities for them to could express their loyalty to the Institute and rendering their service to their Alma Mater as and when the need arise.  Thereafter she enrolled them as the official Past Pupils of Auxilium Convent High School, Vadodara.

The Past Pupil card and a memento were presented to the students which they would collect later from the school.

The students expressed their gratitude to God, to the Sisters and teachers for having shaped them into better human beings during the course of the years they spent at the Institute.

“Auxilium will always remain in our hearts as a sweet memory and we will continue to live the virtues imbibed at Auxilium Convent High School.”

“I have only one wish to see you happy in this world and in the next.” Don Bosco.

  1. It is indeed heartening to see our past pupils participate in large numbers despite the current situation . Proud to listen to them reminisce on the years spent in their Alma mater . What they miss most are the Value Education classes that have helped them every step of the way .

  2. I spent my school life here and it brings me deep joy and pride to call myself a student of the Auxilium convent High School, Vadodara. All the experiences, morals, inspiration and much more that we received over the years is just invaluable and beyond compare. I will forever be grateful to Sr. Philomena Lobo and all other sisters and teachers that changed our thinking over the years and imparted ideals which will forever be a part of ourselves. Thankyou for shaping the individuals we are going to become.
Eventually, “I can only note that the past is beautiful because one never realizes an emotion at the time. It expands later, and thus we don’t have complete emotions about the present, only about the past.” ― Virginia Woolf.
