On the occasion of Republic Day of India, 26 January, 2022, Auxilium Convent School Lonavla had a festal celebration of India’s rich Constitution. All the teachers gathered for the flag hoisting at 7:30am. The chief guest for the occasion was Tr. Vrushali Shelar, who gave a fitting message on the need to be good citizens of India as also those who form the future citizens of this great Nation. The children had an online celebration of the same which also included a short programme with dances, speeches and poems. What added to the beauty of the day was to be able to welcome our dear Provincial, Sr.Meenakshi D’Silva, for her provincial visit to Auxilium Lonavla. The teachers, sisters and other staff members, all formed a colourful entrance procession for Sr. Meenakshi, dressed in the colours of the tricolour.
Republic Day is a reminder for us citizens of India, of the rich Constitution formed by the leaders of our country, which makes as a Sovereign Democratic Republic. It calls on us to be proud and effective citizens, who uphold each other and work together in building and India which shines for the whole world to see.
