AMAR # 1572 Auxilium Ahmednagar celebrates Republic Day

Into that heaven of freedom my Father, let my country awake!

Auxilium, Ahmednagar celebrated the 73rd Republic day of India with great patriotism and zeal. It was an online as well as an offline event. The class teachers animated  their classes through a well-prepared programme consisting of a prayer service and several videos on ‘Why is Republic day celebrated?’, ‘How is Republic day celebrated?’ , ‘ The difference between  Republic day and Independence day and a couple of patriotic songs concluding with the national anthem.
Offline, the students of class X and the past pupils were invited together with a few teaching and non-teaching staff.


After a meaningful prayer service and the unfurling of the flag, Sr. Rita Lobo addressed the gathering, inviting them to be good and responsible citizens of the country. She dwelt on the fact that nowadays, we are interested and updated in everything but fail to be connected to the current affairs of our nation. Each of us is called to give our best contribution by being active citizens.


After the programme, Sr. Nilima Rodrigues held a couple of games for the past pupils, such as ‘Clicking the best selfie with captions’ and a ‘One-minute video on what can I do for my country. Many of them participated and came up with creative selfies and videos.
Sr. Agatha Fernandes who is in charge of the past pupils’ sector, thanked them for their valuable presence and contribution, after which the boys waited behind for a football and basketball match.
