We at Auxilium Caranzalem celebrated Women’s Day in a unique way on the 8th of March. We decided to wish those women who are usually ‘left out’ or ‘taken for granted’. A few members of the Eco Club (only boys), accompanied by Sr. Melissa and Sr. Hilda set out at 8.30 am. We went to meet the local vegetable vendors who were selling vegetables on the road-side. We greeted them joyfully, gave them a rose, a cloth bag and a gift. They were pleasantly surprised, which added to our joy.
In the evening a few of our past pupils (boys) set out along with Sr. Celine and Sr. Melissa. We went to Mintra Bazaar – Caranzalem, to wish the local fish vendors. Here too we greeted them with a rose and gave each of them a gift.
