On the 12th of March, the Scouts and Guides team celebrated Women’s Day for the mothers of our school children. There were around 50 women in all. We began with a prayer moment, praying not only for the mothers, but for women all over, especially those who are suffering in different ways. This was followed by an informative video.
We then had different competitions for the women like fabric painting, rangoli, cloth bag making, salad dressing, mehendi, and hair dressing. It was an interesting site to see the women busy at the competitions. We also had different games and spot prizes. The winners were awarded prizes. The programme concluded with a message by Sr. Celine Pinto, the Headmistress. The women were given snacks and a take-away gift.
