AMAR # 1716 - “YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL MASTERPIECE OF GOD”. - Girl Child Day @ Mundhwa

The Day dawned for us to celebrate the Girl child day on 11th September 2022. In the evening at 3.00pm the girls arrived in and we registered each of their names.  Sisters welcomed them with smiles.  We began the program at 3.30 pm with a short prayer and lighting of the lamp.  It was conducted by Sr. Mary Anthony. Mrs. Kiran Jangamwad Superintendent of Govt. State home for young women was present as a resource person.

Mrs. Kiran, Sr. Monica, Ms. Shruti and  Mrs. Swati Jadhav lighted the lamp and brought down the light of God in each child’s life.  Sr. Monica Shera welcomed the guest Mrs. Kiran Jangamwad  and all those present.  Two children welcomed the guest with a plant.  Sr. Monica introduced the resource person to the children.

Mrs. Kiran Jangamwad spoke on the theme how God has created each girl with a lot of ability.  Therefore, each one is very dear to God, and He wants us to do something good in the society.  She spoke to them according to the level of the children, making them aware if one part of the body was missing how it would be like. She also cited many other examples. She told them that you are unique God has given you everything.  We with our good work must give thanks to God.  She spoke of Child rights. Importance of education how important it is to study and it’s a right of a child to study if anyone is not allowed to study you need to complain.  Because government gives full facilities for children to study.

She spoke of good and bad touch.  How people manipulate the girl child bulling them by giving them this and that.  It’s not only outsiders but your own home people who come to your home. May be your relatives. If they tell you don’t tell anyone what I did all the more you should tell your elders.

After the Talk there were some games, action songs and sport dance. Thus, children enjoyed themselves. After which Sr. Natal Rodrigues gave the Vote of thanks and Sr. Monica Shera gave the gifts to the children and snacks. With It we ended our girl child day program.
