Feast of a Teenage Saint

On 20th January, the students celebrated the feast of Bl. Laura Vicuna. In honor of bl. Laura vicuna, the nursing students had a short cultural programme. We began the celebration with a short prayer moment and then they enacted the life of bl. Laura Vicuna. After that, Sr. Rita, the animator of the community gave them a message in which she told them how Laura accepted the difficulties and suffered everything only for the conversion of her mother and that like her, we too must learn to accept suffering without grumbling. Thereafter, we animated games for them. The students enjoyed the celebration very much. It was a moment of togetherness.

Sports Day

On 30th of January, in honour of St John Bosco, the Students had sports day. We started the program with the short prayer, then Sr. Rita cut the ribbon and declared the sports day open and she wished them an enjoyable day. We had individual and group games. We also had Don Bosco’s quiz. Towards the end, the winners received a trophy and certificates.  It was really a wonderful, entertaining and exciting day. The students enjoyed a lot.

Women’s Day Celebration

On 8th March the students celebrated the international women’s day. In honor of that day, we had short cultural programme, which began by welcoming the Manager as well as all the sisters of the community with lovely colorful flowers. This was followed by a meaningful prayer. To recognize the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women in society, the students gave the speeches on different successful. All of them spoke well, highlighting the significant achievements of women in our present world today.  It was a proud moment to see them growing in self-confidence and expressing their views in public. They also performed dances and sang song based on women empowerment.

 The programme concluded with Sr. Rita’s message in which she congratulated them by giving speeches in English with confident. She also told them to be grateful that they were born as women and be ready to face life’s challenges. With this happy note the celebration got ended.
