AMAR # 385 ANAND MELA AT MARIA SHARAN, KESHNAND

“Earth is our Mother and our Home” was the theme for the Anand Mela which was held at Maria Sharan, Keshnand on 24th February 2018 for the children of the locality. Nearly 200 and above children took part in this Mela and had enjoyable moments.  The event commenced with a prayer moment, imploring God’s blessings and creative way of floral welcome to the chief guest, the other guests and the participants.  The chief guest of this programme was Fr. Vivek Salve, who added colour to the programme by his effective speech. He grabbed the attention of all those present.  In his talk he told us on how to save Mother Earth and that we are responsible for our actions and as children we can take concrete steps to save the Earth. The inmates of Maria Sharan presented a cultural programme which consisted of dances, joke and a skit which brought the message of saving Mother Earth. There were games conducted for the girls and the PIME brothers along with the past pupils of Maria Sharan assisted the Sisters in the different activities. There was a din as the children danced, played and enjoyed themselves in each other’s company.
