With the theme “Embark on your journey with the Lord”, we had the farewell for our SSC students on the19th of February. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Noel Menezes SFX. Each student entered the chapel holding a flower in their hand symbolizing their uniqueness. Placing their hands on them both Fr. Noel and the Manager Sr. Caroline D’Souza blessed them and invoked God’s blessings of success and happiness as they embark on their journey in life. Later during the day, we had the initiation of the students into the Past Pupils association. On 21st of Feb we had the farewell party. The stage was well decked up, and all the outgoing students were in their best civil dress. There was an atmosphere of joy and excitement and at the same time that of sadness.
The function began with a welcome speech by the students of Std. IX followed by creative and enjoyable games for both boys and girls. The students of Std. IX also put up a short entertainment programme. Snacks, soft drinks and ice-cream was served. The manager Sr. Caroline D’Souza and Headmistress Sr. Celine Pinto delivered speeches, advising the students to keep up the name and the prestige of the school and wished them brilliant success in the forthcoming examination and also in their daily life. On behalf of the entire class, a student thanked the management and staff for all that they learnt and experienced during their years in school. After receiving blessings from their teachers they left the school determined to do their best.
