AMAR # 420 Community Gratitude at Aux-Carona

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It is regarded as the virtue that shapes actions and deeds”. 19th March was a long awaited day for the community of Carona. The theme ‘Sir, give me this water’ helped us reflect on the life giving water the Lord supplies to us each day. He gives us the reason to enjoy together in a community and be renewed with a life full of joy and hope. The celebration began with a meaningful vigil service; where in each of us went with an empty pot representing our life full of weakness, emptiness, and our shortcomings. Like the Samaritan woman at the well we poured out all our negative feelings to the Lord, asking pardon from the Lord for the times we have been a cause of disharmony in the community, leaving behind our old jar, we pledged to embrace the path of love. Our animator Sr. Flavia Mascarenhas set the tone to the meaningful service by pouring the water in each of our pots representing the new life which the Lord offers us daily.

The next day we started with the Morning Prayer followed by the Eucharistic Celebration. It was a moment of raising our hearts to God, the fountain of life who continually flow His blessings on us and our mission. Fr. Athaide, thanked the community for their dedicated service. The entire day was a wonderful moment of Communion and grateful sentiments.
The day ended with a prayer moment followed by a short entertaining programme by the boarders who expressed their sentiments of gratitude through dances and song.
The witness of the Samaritan woman has filled our hearts with the living water given by Jesus, and encouraged us to share this living water with others .We pray that we may remain faithful and share the living water by following in the footsteps of Jesus the fountain of life. Through His living water we live, through His living water we can pour out ourselves to others, through His living water we live His blessings.
