According to the province project, we as a community decided to celebrate a major festival of other religion -the festival of light –Deepawali in Athagoav village. The families were already informed about the celebration and they were eagerly waiting for this day. On the 19th of Nov 2018, we the three Sisters i.e Srs. Catherine Pereira, Stella Rebeiro and Pushpa Parmar with a social worker went to the Athagoav village.
Sr. Catherine Pereira animated the prayer moment and then it was followed with games. The women and children took an active part in the games. They were nearly 50 in number.
At the end of this programme, we distributed a gift and samosa and the villagers served us with poha and tea. We all had an enjoyable time with our SHG women, young girls and children.
