Today on 25 November 2018 the Maria Niwas, Kalathur celebrated the 80th birthday of Sr. Beatrice Monteiro. A meaningful Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Cyril Menezes OCD. He spoke about the importance of life lived fully up to 80 years. We were glad to have this celebration on the feast of Christ the King. To add to the joy we had the privilege of having Sr. Rita Dora for this celebration along with the Sisters of the Shirva community and the relatives of Sr. Beatrice.
After Mass, the boarders staged a programme in honour of the birthday. One could hear the voices of the little ones singing the birthday song, as Sr. Beatrice cut the cake.
Those who were present shared a meal as they praised God for the gift of life of our dear Sr. Beatrice.
