“A grateful heart is a happy heart ”
On 28th February 2019, we celebrated our Community Gratitude Day. The preparations began much before with creative liturgies by praying for different people who render their generous service to our community. ‘Goodnights’ were given by all of us describing the characters of the holy women in the Old Testament.
On the eve of the Gratitude Day, we had a vigil service thanking our animator Sr. Cecilia Crasta, the Sisters, and the candidates for each one’s gracious presence in the community. The second part of the vigil service brought out the role of some women in the New Testament in the mission of Jesus.
The Morning Prayer and the Rosary were animated with appropriate video clippings.
The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Valerian Pereira, the Rector of Don Bosco Lonavla. During the homily, he advised us to practice the community website as www.community.com. i.e to be worshiping, witnessing, working, community.
In the evening we had a small outing to the Monsoon Lake where we played some fun-filled games which were conducted by the Sisters and thereafter relished snacks together. Thus we enjoyed the moments of togetherness in each one’s company.
