The spiritual evangelizers (Catechetical coordinators) of the Maharashtra region got together for two days meet (25-26 August 2017) at the Youth Animation Centre – Dahanu. Sr. Santana Pereira and Sr. Judy Gaikwad beautifully animated the sessions which were all geared towards Evangelization in today’s context. The two days began and ended with deep spiritual insights which each of us gained through different and new kinds of meditations and goodnight talks. Fr. Anthony Rodrigues SJ, in his talk stressed on the fact that evangelization will always bring us joy since we touch peoples’ lives through our love and service. He exhorted us to pray fervently for the spread of the Gospel and to do whatever we canfor the greater glory of God. Fr. Prashant Olalekar, SJ, celebrated the Eucharist for us and sent us forth with a powerful message of being united in faith with our Christian brethren all over the world even though we may belong to different sects in the Catholic Church; for in unity there is strength and we need to evangelize and preach the Gospel whenever and wherever possible. May this 140th year of the missionary expedition of our first sisters to India stir and enkindle in each of us the same zeal and passion for God and His people during these trying times and make us true evangelizers in word and deed.
