The Vocation Facilitators Meeting for Maharashtra region was organized at Maria Vihar on 20th August 2017.We began with a short prayer moment invoking the Holy Spirit which was animated by Sr. Reshma Nunes. The theme was ‘Call to Service’. The words of welcome as well as the first session were animated by Sr. Philomena B. D’Souza. She began with an activity of choosing leaves of any plants and knowing one’s self and each one’s uniqueness. She also spoke about religious life and the importance of vows and how education and vocation goes hand in hand. After a short break, Fr. Brian D’Souza SJ gave an input on how to conduct a vocation camp and how to go about in the process of discernment of candidates. He exhorted us to visit families in our locality especially those of the Catholics as well as to be present in all youth activities. After the lunch break we had a group discussion and planning for the year ahead. We ended our meeting with a short prayer to Mary who assured us that she constantly walks with us.
