On the 24th August 2017 sixteen girls gathered for a leadership camp held at Auxilium Caranzalem from 8.30 a.m to 12.00 p.m. Sr. Precilla D’Souza organised this camp to draw many young girls to discern their way of life and be efficient leaders in their own fields.The programme began with adoration before the Blessed Sacrament conducted by Sr. Melissa D’Souza which helped the girls to entrust this day in God’s hands and also spend time in silent prayer before the Lord, thanking him for every gift bestowed.
This was followed by a short talk by the animator, Sr. Caroline D’Souza on qualities of leadership as she also welcomed them warmly to this camp. Sr. Ira Viegas conducted ice-breakers for the girls, in order to get them acquainted with each other. Later Sr. Melusina Colaco conducted a short session on vocational leadership and service wherein the girls were invited to reflect upon their ambition in life and whether this goal was directed towards others or themselves. After a short break Sr. Precilla spoke to them about our Salesian charism and the works we carry out in our province. This was followed by a short evaluation was conducted in order to get a feedback from the participants. The programme concluded with the distribution of a small momento (wrist bands) to the girls.
