Teachers’ Day at Mundhwa!

Teachers' Day at Mundhwa!

6th September 2017, was a wonderful day for the little ones, to wish their dear teachers, ‘A Happy Teachers’ Day’. The Theme was ‘Teacher you are a gift’. We had a short prayer moment for the teachers, thanking them for their love and sacrifice, in teaching and imparting knowledge and guiding them and taking special care of them. In the prayer moment the person of Jesus Christ was highlighted as a Principal, Good Shepherd, who takes keen interest in His chosen disciples, making them tough and strong. So Jesus wants his disciples/ teachers to be strong, not giving in to their laziness but are challenged every moment. We also remembered Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan whose birthday was on 5th of September. He was also a widely-respected academic, philosopher and Bharat Ratna recipient. Since 1962, the year he became president, India, has commemorated Dr.  Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary, by paying tribute to her teachers and gurus on this day. After the prayer moment the children welcomed the teachers by singing and spelling out the word ‘Welcome’. The H.K.G & L.K.G put up a short programme and acted enthusiastically. The Manager Rev. Sr. Wilma De Souza wished the teachers and thanked them for their keen interest in teaching the children and imparting their knowledge and guiding them to be good & responsible children. The manager gave a token of love to the teachers. She made the children repeat after her ‘Happy Teachers’ Day’. Each child was given a lollipop, which they relished a lot.
