AMAR # 2108 World Thinking Day at Caranzalem

World Thinking Day is a day when the scouts and guides think about their brothers and sisters in all countries all over the world, the meaning of guiding and the global impacts. This day is celebrated on the 22nd of February and is particularly celebrated to honour the founders Lord Robert Baden Powell and Olave Baden Powell on their birthdays. Each year there is a theme for ‘Thinking Day’ and the theme for Thinking Day 2024 is, Our world, our thriving future: Environment and global poverty. This day is especially celebrated by the Girl Guide and Girl Scout members to consider the global impact of their movements and express gratitude to their sisters across borders.

In our school too we celebrated this day meaningfully. The event began with the flag break after which the Headmistress garlanded the frame of the founders to honour them. Then the significance of the day was explained to the students by Sr. Melissa Dsouza. Then the students who participated in the camporee at Ahmednagar put up a short programme for the students. The programme concluded with the lowering of the flag.
