Along with the cognitive, physical, or psychological development of a child, it is very important to also cater to the spiritual dimension of their personality. Our value education and catechism classes indeed serve as an aid to the development of this aspect of a child. We set apart a special week to celebrate the Catechetical and Value Education Week from 4th to 10th February 2024.
Every day during the assembly each class took turns to animate the prayer services with a theme under the main theme: “You should also do what I have done to you.” It was indeed inspiring to see students of each class putting in their efforts to give a meaningful message each day.
On the catechetical/value education day, we began with a prayer service and then followed an item from each class. The programme was beautifully prepared by each class either with a song, skit, dance, or a mime. Everyone tried to bring out various values through their performances. In the end, the deserving students were awarded prizes. The day concluded with a message from the Headmistress, Sr. Celine Pinto.
The catechetical day Mass was held after that with the same theme.
