AMAR # 1689 Musuem on wheels @Baroda

On 25th July 2022, “Museum on Wheels’ was exhibited in Auxilium Convent High School where an impressive exposition of different Indian classical musical instruments was displayed. It started from Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Sangrahalay, Mumbai. The infrastructure and the ambience of the bus was impressive and splendid. This is a project taken up by the Corporate Social Responsibility of the museum and it’s main purpose is to benefit the students of different areas who are unable to reach out and explore the facts displayed in the museum.

The first methodical bus was gifted to the museum six years ago by the Cultural Department of the Central Government at a juncture of 100 years of the museum. Each year they adopt a topic that is related to imparting knowledge to students of different age groups, like  from the Harappan barter system, living fossils,  traditional Indian toys etc. This time the display was on different musical instruments, their origin and science behind them. The students happily explored with passion and zeal. Overall it was a didactic and ingenious initiative taken up by the museum for the benefit of the students to explore and learn.
